Teresa Edwards, MA, is a Senior Director of Patient-Centered Outcomes Assessment at RTI-HS. As a trained survey methodologist, Ms. Edwards brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to projects collecting quantitative and qualitative data. She is an expert in designing and evaluating questionnaires for patients, clinicians, caregivers, and other populations and has over 30 years of experience leading data collection projects. Before joining RTI-HS, Ms. Edwards was Assistant Director for Survey Research at the Odum Institute, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she continues as the Director of the Certificate in Survey Science Program. At UNC, Ms. Edwards advised faculty and clinicians on all aspects of survey data collection. She was a sought-after instructor for lectures and short courses on questionnaire design and the cognitive debriefing technique to evaluate/pretest instruments. With clinicians in the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, she developed the Widowed Parenting Self-Efficacy Scale for use with recently widowed parents of young children. Before UNC, Ms. Edwards was a survey methodologist at RTI International.
