Michaela Lunan, PhD, is a Senior Associate at RTI-HS in the Manchester, UK, office. Prior to working at RTI-HS, Dr. Lunan worked at Manchester Metropolitan University as a Research Associate for the Department of Languages, Information and Communications. Michaela has over 4 years of experience in conducting and leading systematic and targeted literature reviews within a range of therapeutic areas including dermatology, oncology, viral diseases, hematology, nephrology and muscular dystrophy. Michaela has expertise in developing search strategies; conducting searches in various medical databases; performing grey literature searches and quantitatively and qualitatively reporting results. She also has experience in the project management of systematic literature reviews. In her PhD, entitled, “The Dynamics of Nurse Interaction: A Comparison of Speech with Older and Younger Patients,” Dr. Lunan qualitatively analyzed the language of nurses and their patients in GP practices in North West England.
