Juliana Meyers, MA, is a Senior Director of Health Economics at RTI-HS with more than 14 years of experience in health economics and outcomes research. Prior to joining RTI- HS, Ms. Meyers worked as a research manager at Boston Health Economics. She has extensive experience in the design and analysis of studies involving retrospective health care claims data, cross-sectional and longitudinal survey data, data from prospective clinical studies, data from customized retrospective medical chart abstractions, and inpatient and long-term care data. Ms. Meyers has conducted research to estimate the prevalence and economic burden of various medical conditions, including acute coronary syndromes, acute myeloid leukemia, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, chronic obstructive lung disease, complicated skin and skin structure infections, diabetes, herpes zoster, HIV, hypertension, invasive fungal infections, migraine, non-small cell lung cancer, ovarian cancer, Parkinson’s disease, pertussis, renal disease, and restless legs syndrome, among others.

Ms. Meyers also has extensive experience in claims-based analyses to evaluate patterns and utilization implications of medication adherence among patients with cancer, chronic obstructive lung disease, diabetes, HIV, hypertension, migraine, Parkinson’s disease, restless legs syndrome, and schizophrenia, among others.

Ms. Meyers has coauthored research published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, including American Journal of Health Systems Pharmacy, American Journal of Infection Control, Applied Health Economics and Policy, Archives of Public Health, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Mental Health, Clinical Interventions in Aging, Current Medical Research and Opinion, Diabetes and Its Complications, Hospital Practice, Journal of the American Medical Directors Association, Managed Care, Postgraduate Medicine, and Psychiatric Services.

Ms. Meyers also provides peer review for manuscript submissions in various peer reviewed journals and reviews abstracts for meetings of the International Society of Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research.
