Julia Vila Guilera, PhD, is a Research Epidemiologist in the Pharmacoepidemiology and Risk Management group in Barcelona, Spain, with RTI-HS. Dr. Vila Guilera has a background in bioengineering and is trained in mathematical modelling of infectious diseases. While studying at University College London, she conducted projects investigating multiple social and environmental determinants of health outcomes. She has experience in secondary statistical analyses of large databases, as well as in designing and executing primary data collection fieldwork studies. Prior to joining RTI-HS, Dr Vila Guilera worked as an analyst with real-world databases, designing pharmacoepidemiologic studies and preparing client deliverables.
